Job Summary
- Chelis Bookazine Limited, Nigeria's leading supplier of educational materials, is seeking a competent and detail-oriented Store Officer to join our team at our Abuja Branch.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for the effective management of the branch store, ensuring accurate stock control, proper documentation of inventory, and compliance with internal store procedures. The role also involves monitoring stock movement, verifying supplies and receivables, and maintaining an organized and efficient store environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate records of stock movement and sales, and replenish inventory as required.
- Receive, inspect, and properly arrange products within the store.
- Ensure products are neatly displayed and adequately stocked on the shop floor.
- Monitor inventory levels and promptly report stock shortages or discrepancies.
- Cross-check all incoming and outgoing goods to ensure accuracy.
- Maintain proper documentation of all stock transactions.
- Ensure the store is clean, organized, and complies with company standards.
- Participate in periodic stock-taking and inventory reconciliation exercises.
- Support the implementation of promotional activities for new products and special offers.
- Adhere to all internal store control policies and procedures.
Requirements
- B.Sc Degree / HND in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 2 years' post-NYSC experience in store management, inventory control, or sales, preferably within the education sector.
- Strong organizational and record-keeping skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Applicants must reside within or be in close proximity to Femi Otedola Street, Off 7th Avenue, Gwarinpa, Abuja.
- Willingness to work an alternate Saturday schedule.
