Cashier

Job Summary

• Our client in the agro industry is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Cashier to join their finance / accounts team.
• The ideal candidate should have 2–3 years of relevant cashiering experience, preferably within the agro or manufacturing industry, with strong attention to detail and good numerical skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive and process cash, POS, bank transfers, and other forms of payment.
• Issue receipts and maintain accurate records of all transactions.
• Reconcile daily cash collections and ensure proper documentation.
• Prepare daily cash and sales reports.
• Monitor and maintain accurate records of cash inflows and outflows.
• Ensure all payments and transactions are properly authorized and documented.
• Assist with bank deposits, withdrawals, and other banking transactions when required.
• Identify and report discrepancies in cash or financial records.
• Support the accounts team with routine accounting and administrative duties.

Requirements

• OND, HND, or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 2–3 years of relevant experience as a Cashier, preferably in the agro or manufacturing industry.
• Good knowledge of cash handling, reconciliation, and basic accounting procedures.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting / POS software.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• High level of accuracy, honesty, and attention to detail.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Salary
N150,000 - N200,000 Monthly.
