About the Role
- We are seeking a dynamic, customer-focused, and tech- savvy Hotel Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of a small boutique hotel located in GRA, Benin City.
- The ideal candidate will have strong hospitality management experience, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to leverage technology and social media platforms to drive occupancy, enhance guest experiences, and grow the hotel’s brand presence.
Key Responsibilities
Hotel Operations:
- Oversee the daily operations of the hotel to ensure exceptional guest service and operational efficiency.
- Manage front office, housekeeping, maintenance, security, and food & beverage activities (where applicable).
- Ensure hotel standards, policies, and procedures are consistently maintained.
- Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally and promptly.
- Monitor occupancy levels and implement strategies to maximize revenue.
Team Leadership:
- Recruit, train, supervise, and motivate hotel staff.• Develop staff schedules and manage workforce performance.
- Foster a culture of excellent customer service and accountability.
Sales, Marketing & Social Media:
- Manage the hotel’s online presence across social media. platforms including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and LinkedIn.
- Create engaging content and promotional campaigns to attract guests.
- Monitor online reviews and respond to customer feedback across booking platforms and social media channels.
- Develop partnerships with local businesses, event organisers, and travel agencies.
- Drive direct bookings through digital marketing initiatives.
Technology & Systems:
- Utilise hotel management systems, booking platforms, and property management software effectively.
- Monitor and optimise online travel agency (OTA) listings such as Hotels.ng, Booking.com, Expedia, and Airbnb.
- Generate operational and performance reports using digital tools.
- Identify and implement technology solutions that improve guest experience and operational efficiency.
Financial Management:
- Manage budgets, expenses, and revenue targets.• Prepare operational and financial reports for management.
- Monitor inventory, procurement, and vendor relationships.
- Ensure proper cash handling and financial controls are maintained.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in hotel or hospitality management.
- Strong understanding of hotel operations and guest service standards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and hotel management software.
- Demonstrable experience managing social media accounts and digital marketing campaigns.
- Strong knowledge of online booking platforms and revenue management.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem- solving skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays when required.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience managing a boutique hotel or guest house.
- Graphic design and content creation skills (Canva, Adobe Express, etc.).
- Photography and video content creation for social media.
- Experience with digital advertising and social media analytics.
- knowledge of hospitality trends and customer engagement strategies.
Salary
N200,000 per month.
