Fiber Engineer

Responsibilties
- Install, splice, terminate, test, and maintain fiber optic cables and related equipment.
- Carry out FTTH installations, activations, and customer migrations.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on fiber infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot and resolve fiber faults, outages, and connectivity issues within agreed SLAs.
- Conduct fiber testing using OTDR, Optical Power Meter, Light Source, VFL, and other testing equipment.
- Interpret fiber network diagrams, splice schematics, and route plans.
- Perform fiber cable jointing, ODF termination, and patch panel management.
- Ensure proper cable routing, labeling, and documentation of all installations.
- Respond promptly to network faults and emergency maintenance activities.
- Prepare and submit installation, maintenance, and fault resolution reports.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and quality standards during field operations.
- Coordinate with the NOC, Project, and Customer Support teams to ensure timely service delivery.
- Maintain assigned tools, test equipment, and company assets in good working condition.
- Provide technical support during network expansion and upgrade projects.
- Train and guide junior engineers or technicians where required.
Qualifications
- Interested candidates should possess relevant qualifications with 3 years experience.
