About the Role
- We are looking for a reliable, physically fit Factory / Forklift Operative to join our production team in Yaba. In this role, you will help run our daily production line, operate plant equipment, handle material transfer using a forklift, and ensure our warehouse stays safe, clean, and organized.
- If you have hands-on experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment, hold a valid forklift certification, and take pride in maintaining high safety and quality standards, we would love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate production machinery, conduct basic daily equipment checks, and immediately report any technical issues or malfunctions to team leaders or supervisors.
- Safely load, unload, and transfer raw materials, finished products, and heavy equipment across the warehouse using a forklift or pallet trucks.
- Accurately label products, update stock levels on the warehouse computer, and maintain strict traceability records for production.
- Check raw material and product stock levels regularly, flagging any shortages or inventory gaps promptly.
- Keep the factory floor, workstations, and storage areas clean and free of chemical spills, debris, or hazards.
- Securely pack finished products or components for shipment or further processing, ensuring all quality guidelines are met.
- Strictly follow all plant safety and quality guidelines, wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and participate actively in daily shift prep talks and safety briefings.
- Work closely with supervisors, plant operatives, and wider warehouse teams to keep daily production running smoothly.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum of a Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSCE).
- Valid Forklift Operator Certification or Driver's License.
- Proven experience as a factory worker, warehouse operative, or forklift driver in a manufacturing or FMCG setting.
- Able to perform physical labor, stand for extended periods, and regularly lift heavy loads.
- Good understanding of how production equipment works and the ability to spot potential risks or equipment problems early.
- Clear communication skills, strong attention to detail, and a team-first attitude.
Salary / Benefits
- N70,000 - N2150,000 / month.
