- As the SME Relationship Manager, you will drive business growth by acquiring and managing Small and Medium-sized Enterprise (SME) clients, providing tailored financial solutions, growing the client portfolio, and achieving revenue and deposit mobilization targets.
Responsibilities
- Identify, acquire, and onboard SME clients while building and maintaining strong, long-term business relationships.
- Promote appropriate financial products and services to SMEs, including business financing, credit facilities, deposit products, and other relevant banking solutions.
- Develop and execute strategies to grow the SME portfolio, increase deposits, generate revenue, and achieve assigned business targets.
- Assess clients’ business needs, financial positions, and credit requirements, recommending suitable financial solutions.
- Monitor client accounts, business performance, and credit facilities to identify risks, support repayment, and ensure portfolio quality.
- Prepare periodic reports on portfolio performance, sales activities, revenue generation, and market opportunities while ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in relationship management, SME banking, business development, or a similar role within the financial services sector.
- Strong knowledge of SME banking, credit facilities, deposit mobilization, business financing, and financial products.
- Proven ability to acquire and manage SME clients, grow portfolios, generate revenue, and meet business targets.
