Broiler Pen Attendants

Job summary

• As a Broiler Pen Attendant, you will be responsible for the daily care and management of broiler birds assigned to your pen.

Key Responsibilities
Your duties shall include:

• Feeding and providing clean water to birds at all times.
• Monitoring bird health, behaviour, growth, and mortality, and promptly reporting abnormalities.
• Maintaining proper cleanliness, hygiene, litter condition, and general sanitation of the pen.
• Assisting with vaccination, medication, weighing, and other routine poultry management activities as directed.
• Ensuring strict compliance with the Company’s biosecurity, safety, and operational procedures.
• Keeping accurate records of feed consumption, mortality, medication, and other relevant pen activities.
• Reporting equipment faults, unusual bird conditions, feed/water shortages, and other operational issues to the Supervisor / Manager.
• Assisting during catching, transfer, loading, and other activities as required.

Qualifications

• HND / B.Sc in Animal Science or Doctor of Veterinary Medicine with at least two years of working experience in Broiler Pen management.
