Job Summary
- We are looking for proactive and results-drivenMarketing Officers to promote our range of contemporary gifts and lifestyle products to retail stores, businesses, and potential customers.
- The successful candidates will be responsible for identifying prospective stores and businesses, presenting our products, building strong relationships with retailers, securing orders, and ensuring consistent sales growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and visit potential retail stores, gift shops, boutiques, supermarkets, lifestyle stores, and other relevant businesses that may stock our products.
- Introduce and promote the company’s gift products to prospective retailers and customers.
- Present product features, benefits, pricing, and wholesale/retail options clearly and professionally.
- Generate new leads and convert prospects into customers and retail partners.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
- Follow up on leads, enquiries, quotations, and pending orders.
- Negotiate orders and commercial terms within approved company guidelines.
- Achieve assigned weekly and monthly sales targets.
- Monitor competitors, market trends, customer preferences, and pricing within assigned locations.
- Identify new markets, stores, and business opportunities for the company’s products.
- Ensure products are properly displayed and presented in partner stores where applicable.
- Collect customer feedback and communicate market insights to the management team.
- Maintain accurate records of visits, leads, orders, customer information, and sales activities.
- Prepare regular reports on field activities, sales performance, challenges, and opportunities.
- Represent the company professionally when interacting with customers and business owners.
- Work closely with the sales/marketing team to develop strategies for increasing product visibility and sales.
- Participate in promotional activities, exhibitions, pop-up events, and other marketing initiatives when required.
Requirements
- Minimum of OND/NCE/HND/Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Sales, Communications, or a related field.
- Previous experience in sales, field marketing, business development, retail, or customer acquisition is an advantage.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Confident and comfortable approaching new businesses and speaking with store owners/managers.
- Persuasive and customer-focused.
- Ability to work independently and meet sales targets.
- Good negotiation and relationship-management skills.
- Must be willing to travel/visit different stores and locations as required.
- Must be proactive, presentable, energetic, and results-oriented.
- Basic ability to use WhatsApp, Excel/Google Sheets, and other digital tools for reporting is an advantage.
