Housekeeping Attendant

Job Summary

• The Housekeeping Attendant is responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, presentation, and guest comfort throughout guest rooms and assigned areas of the property.
• The role involves cleaning and servicing guest rooms, replenishing amenities, reporting maintenance issues, and ensuring all housekeeping procedures and standards are consistently followed.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and service guest rooms, bathrooms, corridors, public areas, and other assigned spaces according to established standards.
• Make beds, change bed linen, replace towels, dust, vacuum, mop, and sanitize surfaces.
• Replenish guest amenities, toiletries, minibar items, and other room supplies as required.
• Inspect assigned rooms to ensure they meet cleanliness, presentation, and hygiene standards before being released for occupancy.
• Report maintenance defects, damages, lost property, safety hazards, or unusual incidents promptly to the supervisor.
• Handle guest belongings with care and respect privacy and confidentiality at all times.
• Respond courteously to reasonable guest requests and communicate any concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
• Follow proper procedures for lost and found items.
• Maintain housekeeping equipment, cleaning tools, and supplies in good condition.
• Use cleaning chemicals safely and according to manufacturer and company guidelines.
• Maintain adequate stock of linen, towels, amenities, and cleaning supplies in assigned areas.
• Follow all health, safety, hygiene, fire, security, and environmental procedures.
• Support deep-cleaning activities and special cleaning projects when required.
• Work cooperatively with other housekeeping team members and departments.
• Perform other duties reasonably assigned by management.

Qualifications and Experience

• Secondary school certificate or equivalent qualification.
• Previous housekeeping or hotel experience is an advantage.
• Good understanding of cleaning and hygiene procedures.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good physical stamina and attention to detail.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Salary
N150,000 - N200,000 monthly.
