Job Summary
- FMR Agency is recruiting an experienced and commercially driven Business Development Manager to drive business growth across the industrial sector for a leading quality assurance and industrial laboratory services company.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building strategic relationships with manufacturers, processors, logistics operators, and industrial clients, while driving revenue growth across inspection, laboratory, sustainability, procurement, and quality assurance services.
- This role requires a highly networked business developer with a proven track record of winning and managing high-value commercial contracts.
- Ultimately, you will expand the company's industrial footprint, strengthen client relationships, and drive sustainable revenue growth across the Lekki industrial corridor.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities across assigned industrial sectors.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with manufacturers, processors, logistics companies, and infrastructure operators.
- Lead contract negotiations and manage the complete sales cycle from prospecting to contract execution.
- Coordinate vendor registration, prequalification, and tender submissions.
- Grow existing client accounts through cross-selling and upselling company services.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and emerging business opportunities.
- Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and prepare regular commercial performance reports.
- Collaborate with technical teams to develop winning proposals and client solutions.
- Drive revenue growth while consistently achieving assigned sales targets.
- Retain and expand existing accounts by cross-selling across the company's quality assurance, sustainability, inspection, GHG management, laboratory, and procurement services.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Sciences, or a related field with 5 – 8 years' experience in Business Development, Sales, or Commercial Management.
- Proven experience securing and managing contracts within industrial or manufacturing sectors.
- Strong network within manufacturing, industrial, logistics, or infrastructure industries.
- Excellent negotiation, presentation, and relationship management skills.
- Strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking ability.
- Ability to manage multiple opportunities within a target-driven environment.
- Willingness to travel across the assigned territory.
