Business Development Officer (Interior Designs)

Description

• We are seeking a proactive, creative, and results-driven Business Development Officer to drive sales growth, attract new clients, and expand the company’s market presence in the interior design industry.
• The successful candidate will identify business opportunities, build strong client relationships, promote interior design solutions, and convert prospective clients into paying customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities in residential, commercial, hospitality, and corporate interior design markets.
• Generate leads and secure new clients through networking, referrals, cold calling, social media, and client visits.
• Promote the company’s interior design, space planning, furnishing, decoration, and renovation services.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with homeowners, real estate developers, architects, contractors, corporate organisations, and property managers.
• Prepare and present proposals, quotations, presentations, and service packages to prospective clients.
• Conduct client consultations to understand their design preferences, budgets, and project requirements.
• Collaborate with the design and project teams to develop suitable solutions for clients.
• Negotiate contracts, follow up on proposals, and close sales to achieve revenue targets.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities within the interior design industry.
• Maintain an updated sales pipeline, client database, and business development reports.
• Ensure excellent customer service and follow up with clients to encourage repeat business and referrals.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, Interior Design, or a related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in business development, sales, client relationship management, or a related role.
• Experience in interior design, furniture, real estate, construction, or home improvement will be an added advantage.
• Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong sales and lead-generation abilities with a proven capacity to convert prospects into customers.
• Good knowledge of social media marketing and digital platforms for business promotion.
• Ability to understand client needs and communicate design solutions effectively.
• Self-motivated, target-driven, organised, and able to work independently.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic sales reporting tools.
