Blow Moulding Technician (Jagmoham Machine)

Job Summary

• We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Blow Moulding Technician with strong hands-on knowledge of Jagmoham Blow Moulding Machines and their operating systems.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for operating, setting, troubleshooting, and maintaining blow moulding machines to ensure efficient production, consistent product quality, minimum downtime, and optimal machine performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor Jagmoham Blow Moulding Machines efficiently and safely.
• Demonstrate strong understanding of the Jagmoham machine operating system, control panel, programming, and machine parameters.
• Set and adjust machine parameters such as temperature, pressure, timing, speed, parison/extrusion settings, cooling, and blowing pressure.
• Carry out machine start-up, shutdown, changeover, and production setup procedures.
• Perform mould installation, alignment, adjustment, and changeover.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, and control-system faults.
• Monitor machine performance and identify abnormalities before they result in major breakdowns.
• Work closely with the Maintenance and Production teams to resolve machine faults and minimize downtime.
• Ensure proper parison / extrusion control and maintain consistent product thickness and quality.
• Monitor production output and ensure products meet approved specifications.
• Identify and correct common blow moulding defects such as uneven wall thickness, deformation, flash, poor blowing, leakage, short shots, and dimensional inconsistencies.
• Carry out routine machine inspections, basic preventive maintenance, lubrication, and housekeeping.
• Maintain accurate records of machine settings, faults, downtime, production activities, and maintenance interventions.
• Ensure machines are operated in accordance with company SOPs, safety procedures, and production standards.
• Train and guide machine operators on proper machine operation and basic troubleshooting where required.
• Escalate major technical faults to the Maintenance/Engineering team promptly.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing machine downtime, material wastage, defects, and production losses.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• OND, HND, B.Eng. / B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience working with blow moulding machines.
• Proven practical experience operating and setting Jagmoham Blow Moulding Machines is mandatory.
• Strong understanding of the Jagmoham machine operating system and control interface.
• Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems used in blow moulding operations.
• Good knowledge of extrusion/blow moulding processes and machine programming.
• Ability to independently troubleshoot and resolve common machine faults.
• Experience with mould changeovers, machine setup, parameter optimization, and production adjustments.
• Previous experience in a plastic manufacturing company is highly preferred.
