Job title : Literature-in-English Teacher

Job Summary 

• The successful candidate will help students develop a strong appreciation of literature while improving their analytical, interpretive, communication, and critical-thinking skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach prescribed literary texts and relevant literary concepts.
• Develop students' critical reading and analytical abilities.
• Prepare students for internal and external examinations.
• Conduct literary discussions and activities.
• Set and mark assessments.
• Support students in developing strong written responses.

Requirements

• A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree (B.Ed., B.Sc / B.A with PGDE) or NCE in the relevant field.
• TRCN registration or evidence of registration will be an added advantage.
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
• Sound knowledge of modern teaching methods and digital learning tools.
• A strong passion for child development and academic excellence.
• Good moral character and integrity.
• A strong commitment to teamwork and collaboration.
• Ability to create a positive, engaging, and supportive learning environment.
• Commitment to the academic, personal, social, and character development of students.
• Relevant teaching experience will be an added advantage.
