General Manager

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Business Growth:

• Develop and execute long-term business strategies, annual operating plans, and commercial initiatives.
• Identify market opportunities, consumer trends, and drive market expansion into new territories.

Financial Management & Profitability:

• Take full ownership of the company’s Profit & Loss (P&L), driving revenue growth, cost optimization, and profitability.

Operational Excellence & Supply Chain:

• Oversee manufacturing, procurement, quality assurance, warehousing, and logistics.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and ensure product availability.

Commercial & Market Leadership:

• Provide strategic oversight of sales, distribution, and route-to-market activities.
• Strengthen distributor relationships, improve market penetration, and drive brand growth.

Corporate Governance & Compliance:

• Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, environmental, and safety requirements.
• Manage relationships with regulatory bodies and key external stakeholders.

Leadership & People Development:

• Provide direction to departmental heads and senior management.
• Build a strong leadership pipeline and foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation.

Qualifications & Experience

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, Finance, or a related discipline.
• An MBA is highly preferred.

Experience:

• 10 - 12 years of progressive management experience in the FMCG industry.
• 3–5 years in a senior leadership role (e.g., Business Unit Head, Country Manager, Commercial Director, or General Manager).
• Proven track record leading cross-functional teams in manufacturing, sales, supply chain, and corporate functions.
• Deep understanding of FMCG operations, route-to-market strategies, and business growth dynamics.
