HSE Advisor

Key Responsibilities
- Safety Compliance: Monitor field and plant operations to ensure adherence to company rules and international or local laws.
- Risk Assessments: Facilitate hazard identifications, Job Safety Analyses (JSA), and risk evaluations before starting dangerous tasks.
- Permit-to-Work (PTW): Review and audit work permits for high-risk activities like hot work, confined space entry, and lifting operations.
- Inspections and Audits: Conduct routine safety walkdowns and facility checks to spot hazards or unsafe behaviors and fix them immediately.
- Incident Investigation: Lead root-cause analyses for accidents, injuries, or near-misses and track corrective actions to closure.
- Training and Drills: Lead safety inductions, toolbox talks, and emergency drills such as fire and spill responses.
Job Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Engineering, Environmental Science, or Occupational Health and Safety.
- Certifications: Mandatory NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC) or equivalent, plus professional memberships like IOSH.
- Experience: 3 to 7+ years of hands-on safety experience in oil and gas, marine, terminal, or drilling environments.
- Skills: Strong communication, hazard identification, and crisis management skills with deep knowledge of PTW systems.
