Cost Estimating Lead III

Job Description
- We are seeking an experienced Cost Estimating Lead III to provide oversight and leadership for project cost estimate preparation, quality assurance reviews, cost planning, and project reporting activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide oversight and supervision for the preparation and quality assurance review of project cost estimates for Gate and Funding milestones.
- Coordinate the preparation of Check Estimates and Schedules to assess and compare Operator-prepared submissions.
- Participate in estimate and schedule assessments to verify project cost and schedule bases.
- Provide leadership and technical input on improvements to estimating processes, efficiency tools, and quality assurance practices.
- Coordinate with the Project Management Team (PMT) to identify and resolve project issues and support timely project delivery.
- Attend project meetings and technical discussions with the PMT and external clients.
- Prepare and present monthly project costing and expenditure reports to support management review and budget control.
- Provide cost control and project planning advice to the internal PMT as required.
- Support effective coordination between project stakeholders to address cost, schedule, and estimating requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
- Previous experience in a closely related position, particularly in Cost Estimating and/or Schedule Estimating.
- Strong technical knowledge of project cost planning, scheduling, estimating, and reporting.
- Strong negotiation and stakeholder coordination skills, with the ability to facilitate effective solutions across internal teams.
- Strong influencing, consulting, mentoring, analytical, and computing skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and project requirements.
- Experience providing cost control and planning support to Project Management Teams.
