- We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Underwriter to join our team.
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing insurance risks, reviewing applications, preparing quotations, and supporting the placement of suitable insurance coverage for clients.
- The candidate must possess strong knowledge of underwriting principles, risk assessment, and insurance products.
Responsibilities
- Review and evaluate insurance applications and risk profiles
- Assess risk exposure and determine appropriate coverage terms
- Prepare quotations, policy documentation, and underwriting reports
- Liaise with insurers and clients regarding policy terms and requirements
- Ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines and regulatory standards
- Analyze claims history, financial records, and other relevant data
- Support policy renewals and endorsements
- Maintain accurate underwriting records and documentation
- Provide technical support to internal teams and clients where necessary.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Insurance, Business Administration, Finance, or related field
- 24 years' experience in underwriting within the insurance industry
- Strong understanding of insurance products and risk assessment
- Excellent analytical and decision-making skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
- Strong communication and relationship management skills
- Professional certification is an added advantage.
