Site Supervisor

Job Summary

• We are seeking a competent, responsible, and hands-on Site Supervisor to oversee day-to-day site activities and ensure that construction works are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with approved specifications and timelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily construction activities and coordinate workers, artisans, and contractors on site.
• Monitor work progress to ensure projects are delivered according to approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and schedules.
• Coordinate and supervise contractors and subcontractors.
• Inspect materials, workmanship, and completed work to ensure compliance with required standards.
• Maintain accurate daily site records, including work progress, materials received, labour deployment, and site activities.
• Identify and promptly report construction issues, defects, delays, and safety concerns.
• Ensure proper use, storage, and accountability of construction materials and equipment.
• Monitor site attendance, productivity, and discipline of workers and artisans.
• Ensure strict compliance with health, safety, and environmental requirements.
• Liaise with engineers, architects, project managers, and other relevant stakeholders as required.
• Assist in monitoring project costs and preventing material wastage.
• Prepare regular site progress reports for management.
• Ensure the site is properly organised, secure, and maintained.
• Perform other site-related duties as assigned by Management.

Requirements

• Minimum of HND/B.Sc. in Civil Engineering, Building Technology, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
• 3–5 years’ relevant experience in construction site supervision.
• Proven experience supervising residential or commercial building projects.
• Good understanding of construction processes, building materials, drawings, and site practices.
• Strong ability to coordinate artisans, contractors, and other site personnel.
• Good knowledge of construction health and safety practices.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
• Strong organisational, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently, demonstrate initiative, and maintain high standards of accountability.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications will be an advantage.
