JOB VACANCY: HEAD OF PERSONNEL

NSIK Engineering Company Limited, a reputable organization in engineering, construction, transport, and logistics services, is seeking an experienced and result-oriented professional to join our management team as Head of Personnel. This strategic role oversees all personnel and human resource functions across the Head Office and all construction sites and operational locations. The Head of Personnel reports directly to the Managing Director and plays a critical role in workforce planning, staff administration, and personnel management across the organization. Location: Head Office – Obio Etoi, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, with supervisory responsibilities over personnel at the Head Office and all construction sites and field operations outside the headquarters. Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all personnel and human resource functions across Head Office and construction/field sites.
• Manage staff recruitment, placement, onboarding, and documentation.
• Maintain comprehensive personnel records for all employees across all locations.
• Supervise staff attendance, deployment, transfers, and discipline across Head Office and project sites.
• Develop and implement personnel policies and procedures in line with company objectives.
• Coordinate staff welfare, performance management, and conflict resolution.
• Ensure compliance with labor laws, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Liaise with site managers to ensure adequate staffing and personnel discipline at construction sites.
• Prepare periodic personnel reports for management review.
• Handle staff queries, grievances, and disciplinary matters professionally.
• Perform other personnel and administrative duties as assigned by Management.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4–6 years relevant experience in personnel or human resource management, preferably in engineering, construction, or logistics environments.
• Strong knowledge of personnel administration and labor regulations.
• Proven ability to manage personnel across multiple locations and project sites.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong communication and conflict-resolution abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and Word.
• Professional certification in HR or Personnel Management (e.g., CIPM or equivalent) will be an added advantage.
