Head of Accounts & Finance

Our client, an established travel agency, is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Head of Accounts & Finance to lead its finance function.

The successful candidate will supervise finance operations, including invoicing, receivables, payables, bank reconciliation, payroll verification, finance reporting, accounting system updates and financial control. The role will also support stronger coordination between Finance, Operations, Sales, Call Centre, HR/Admin and Compliance.

The ideal candidate should have strong accounting and finance operations experience, good attention to detail, experience supervising a finance team, and the ability to reduce invoicing errors, improve receivables tracking and strengthen financial reporting.

Key Requirements

• First degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a related field.
• Professional qualification or active membership/student membership of ICAN, ACCA or a recognised accounting body will be an added advantage.
• Minimum of 5 to 7 years’ relevant experience in accounting, finance operations, receivables, payables, reconciliation and financial reporting.
• At least 2 to 3 years’ experience supervising or coordinating finance staff.
• Strong oral and written communication skills for finance reporting, invoice clarification, receivables follow-up, internal coordination and management updates.
• Good knowledge of invoicing, receivables, payables, payroll support, bank reconciliation and finance documentation.
• Experience in a travel agency, aviation, hospitality, logistics, service business or high-volume transaction environment will be an advantage.
• Good working knowledge of Zoho Books, QuickBooks, Sage, Excel or other accounting systems.
• Ability to enforce finance SOPs, checklists, documentation standards and internal controls.
• High integrity, confidentiality, attention to detail and accountability.

Salary: ₦600,000 monthly gross
