Sales Relationship Officer

About the Role

• We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Sales Relationship Officer to acquire customers, build lasting client relationships, and drive sales of investment, loan, and savings products.
• The successful candidate will identify prospects, understand customer needs, explain appropriate products, and convert opportunities into sales while supporting customer satisfaction and retention.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and engage prospective customers through calls, referrals, networking, and field visits.
• Promote investment, loan, and savings products, clearly explaining features, charges, terms, and relevant risks.
• Achieve agreed sales, customer acquisition, and retention targets.
• Build and maintain relationships with individual and corporate clients.
• Follow up enquiries, prepare proposals, and convert prospects into customers.
• Support customer onboarding, loan applications, and required documentation in coordination with relevant teams.
• Maintain accurate customer records and an up-to-date sales pipeline.
• Respond promptly to client enquiries and escalate complaints appropriately.
• Submit regular sales reports and share customer feedback and market insights.
• Follow company policies on customer confidentiality, ethical selling, and compliance.

Requirements

• Relevant qualification in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Previous experience selling investment, loan, and savings products within a financial services organisation.
• Proven ability to acquire customers, build client relationships, and achieve sales targets.
• Sound understanding of investment, lending, and savings products and their associated terms and risks.
• Strong communication, negotiation, presentation, and relationship-management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools.
• Self-motivated, organised, customer-focused, and comfortable with field sales.
• Knowledge of the Abuja market is an added advantage.
