Job title : Mechanical Inspector (General Material Specialist)

- Inspect incoming materials and verify compliance with approved specifications and purchase orders.
- Review and verify Material Test Certificates (MTCs), Certificates of Conformance (COCs), and other quality documentation.
- Ensure proper material identification, marking, and traceability throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct inspections of metallic and non-metallic materials used in mechanical systems.
- Verify material grades, dimensions, heat numbers, and physical conditions.
- Monitor material storage, preservation, and handling procedures.
- Perform positive material identification (PMI) verification when required.
- Witness material testing activities and review laboratory test results.
- Inspect piping materials, structural steel, valves, fittings, flanges, fasteners, and pressure-retaining components.
- Ensure compliance with approved material specifications, codes, and standards.
- Identify material non-conformities and prepare inspection reports and corrective action recommendations.
- Participate in audits, quality surveillance, and vendor inspections.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, and quality teams regarding material issues.
- Maintain inspection records and material traceability documentation.
