Job Summary
- We are seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented, and highly organised Account Officer to support the company's financial operations.
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining financial records, processing transactions, monitoring inventory documentation, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with internal accounting procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate accounting records and financial documentation.
- Process invoices, payments, and other financial transactions.
- Carry out bank reconciliations and account reconciliations.
- Prepare financial reports and maintain supporting documentation.
- Monitor inventory records and sales documentation.
- Verify transactions and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Support payroll administration and statutory remittances.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure efficient financial operations.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's Degree (B.Sc. or HND equivalent) in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Completion of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) programme is mandatory.
- A minimum of two (2) years and a maximum of five (5) years of post-NYSC experience in an accounting-related role.
- Practical knowledge of at least one accounting software package.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
- Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
- High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
- Candidates must currently reside in Ibadan or be willing to relocate.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of inventory management and cost accounting.
- Experience working in the manufacturing, pharmaceutical, agricultural, or veterinary sector.
- Knowledge of VAT, PAYE, and other statutory deductions.
