Relationship Manager

Job Summary

• Our client is seeking experienced and commercially driven Relationship Managers to join its banking teams across branches in Northern Nigeria.

Grade Eligibility
We are seeking candidates currently operating at any of the following grades:

• Assistant Banking Officer (ABO)
• Banking Officer (BO)
• Senior Banking Officer (SBO)
• Assistant Manager (AM)

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and grow relationships with existing and prospective customers.
• Drive deposit mobilisation and CASA growth within the assigned market.
• Identify and convert new business opportunities across retail, commercial, and SME segments.
• Develop and maintain a strong portfolio of high-value customers and businesses.
• Acquire new customers while ensuring effective retention and relationship management.
• Leverage existing networks and local market knowledge to generate quality business leads.
• Achieve assigned deposit, revenue, customer acquisition, and portfolio growth targets.
• Monitor customer portfolios and identify opportunities for cross-selling banking products and services.
• Build strong relationships with business owners, corporate clients, SMEs, high-net-worth individuals, and other key stakeholders.
• Conduct market intelligence and identify emerging business opportunities within the assigned territory.
• Ensure compliance with the bank’s policies, procedures, risk management framework, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain accurate customer records and provide regular reports on business development and portfolio performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree (B.Sc.) in any relevant discipline from a recognised University.
• Minimum of Second-Class Lower (2:2).
• Candidates with qualifications below 2:2 will not be considered.
