Job Summary
- We are looking for a technically skilled, hands-on and dependable Facility Officerto join our Facilities & Operations team and support the day-to-day maintenance and technical functionality of our facilities and event spaces.
- This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoystroubleshooting, fixing problems, working with equipment and ensuring a facility is always ready for use.
The Role
- The Facility Officer will support the Facility Supervisor in maintaining the company's facilities, equipment and technical systems.
- The successful candidate will be expected to identify faults early, carry out basic repairs, coordinate technical interventions and ensure that all facility systems are functional and event-ready.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Facility Supervisor in the day-to-day management of the facility.
- Conduct routine inspections of electrical, plumbing, air-conditioning, power and other facility systems.
- Identify faults and troubleshoot technical issues.
- Carry out minor repairs and maintenance where technically competent.
- Monitor the performance of air-conditioning systems, generators, electrical systems, plumbing and other equipment.
- Escalate major technical issues requiring specialist intervention.
- Assist with preventive maintenance schedules.
- Ensure event spaces are technically ready before events.
- Respond promptly to facility-related issues during events.
- Maintain records of faults, repairs, maintenance activities and equipment condition.
- Monitor facility tools, equipment and maintenance materials.
- Liaise with external artisans and service providers when required.
- Support the maintenance team in ensuring that all facilities remain safe, functional and presentable.
- Adhere to all safety and operational procedures.
Requirements
- OND / HND / B.Sc Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Building Technology, Estate Management or a related technical field.
- 2–3 years relevant facility/technical maintenance experience.
- Practical knowledge of electrical systems, plumbing, AC/HVAC and generators.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability.
- Ability to work with artisans and technical service providers.
- Good understanding of preventive maintenance.
- Ability to work under pressure and respond quickly to faults.
- Availability to work weekends or evenings based on event bookings.
- Candidate must reside in Ikeja, Lagos or its environs.
- Experience in an event centre, hotel, facility management company, hospitality environment or commercial property is an advantage.

Salary
N150,000 - N180,000 per month.
