About the Role

• We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Personal Trainer to deliver exceptional fitness coaching and personalized training experiences within a premium hospitality environment. 
• The successful candidate will be responsible for designing evidence-based fitness programmes, leading engaging group training sessions, and providing one-on-one coaching tailored to members' individual goals, health conditions, and performance objectives.
• This role requires a fitness professional who is passionate about helping clients achieve sustainable health outcomes while maintaining the highest standards of safety, professionalism, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive fitness assessments, movement screenings, and health evaluations for new and existing members.
• Develop individualized exercise programmes based on fitness goals, body composition analysis, health status, and physical capabilities.
• Deliver high-quality one-on-one personal training sessions and structured small-group fitness classes.
• Monitor members' progress through regular fitness assessments and adjust training programmes to optimize results.
• Utilize fitness diagnostics, wearable technology, and performance data to track progress and improve programme effectiveness.
• Educate members on exercise techniques, injury prevention, recovery strategies, and healthy lifestyle habits.
• Collaborate with physicians, physiotherapists, wellness coaches, and nutrition professionals to deliver integrated wellness programmes.
• Ensure proper exercise execution by correcting technique and promoting safe training practices at all times.
• Support members with rehabilitation-focused or corrective exercise programmes where appropriate and within professional scope.
• Maintain accurate client records, attendance logs, progress reports, and training documentation.
• Ensure all fitness equipment is inspected, maintained, cleaned, and used safely.
• Maintain exceptional standards of cleanliness, organization, and presentation throughout the fitness facility.
• Contribute to the design and continuous improvement of fitness programmes, wellness initiatives, and member engagement activities.
• Promote personal training services and encourage member participation in fitness and wellness programmes.
• Stay current with industry developments, exercise science, and fitness best practices through continuous professional development.
• Respond promptly and professionally to member enquiries while delivering an outstanding customer experience.
• Perform any other duties assigned by management.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or HND in Exercise Science, Human Kinetics, Sports Science, Physical Education, Exercise Physiology, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 4–6 years' professional experience as a Personal Trainer or Fitness Coach within a premium fitness, hospitality, wellness, or corporate health environment.
• Internationally recognized Personal Training certification such as NASM, ACE, NSCA, ISSA, ACSM, or an equivalent certification is mandatory.
• Additional certifications in Strength & Conditioning, Corrective Exercise, Functional Training, Mobility, or Performance Coaching will be an added advantage.
• Demonstrated experience delivering both one-on-one coaching and small-group training sessions.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, exercise physiology, biomechanics, nutrition fundamentals, and injury prevention.
• Experience working with executive clients, older adults, and individuals with varying fitness levels and medical considerations.
• Excellent communication, coaching, and motivational skills.
• Proficiency in fitness management software, training applications, wearable fitness technology, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong organizational, planning, and interpersonal skills.
• Professional appearance, excellent grooming, and exceptional customer service orientation.
• Current CPR, AED, and First Aid certification will be an added advantage.
• Must reside in Abuja or be willing to relocate.
