HR Manager (Factory Operations)

About the Role

• We are seeking an experienced and proactive HR Manager to lead and manage all human resources functions within our manufacturing operations in Ibadan.
• The ideal candidate will have strong experience working in a factory or manufacturing environment and possess a thorough understanding of labor laws, employee relations, workforce planning, performance management, and HR best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Manage recruitment, onboarding, and retention processes for factory and administrative staff.
• Oversee employee relations and handle disciplinary and grievance procedures.
• Ensure compliance with labor laws, health and safety regulations, and company policies.
• Manage performance appraisal processes and employee development initiatives.
• Coordinate training and capacity-building programs to improve workforce productivity.
• Maintain accurate HR records and prepare HR reports for management.
• Drive employee engagement and welfare initiatives.
• Support compensation and benefits administration.
• Partner with department heads to identify workforce needs and succession planning opportunities.
• Manage attendance, leave administration, and workforce scheduling where required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, Psychology, or a related field.
• Professional HR certification (CIPM, SHRM, HRCI, or equivalent) is an added advantage.
• 5-8 years' HR experience, with at least 3 years in a manufacturing/factory environment.
• Strong knowledge of Nigerian labor laws and industrial relations.
• Demonstrated experience in recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and HR operations.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HR management systems.
