Job Title: Group Financial Controller
Location: Lagos, Nigeria

JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Group Financial Controller to provide financial leadership across the Group. The successful candidate will oversee financial reporting, internal controls, statutory compliance, budgeting, treasury oversight, and financial governance while supporting strategic business growth and operational excellence.
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Lead the preparation of consolidated monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS.
* Oversee budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and performance analysis across all business units.
* Strengthen financial controls, governance frameworks, and risk management processes.
* Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, and tax requirements.
* Manage treasury operations, cash flow, working capital, and banking relationships.
* Coordinate external audits and liaise with regulatory authorities.
* Provide financial insights to support executive decision-making and strategic investments.
* Drive cost optimization, profitability improvement, and operational efficiency.
* Supervise and mentor finance teams across the Group.
* Support mergers, acquisitions, capital projects, and other strategic initiatives.
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS
* Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
* ACA or ACCA qualification is mandatory (CFA or MBA is an added advantage).
* Minimum of 1015 years progressive finance experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
* Strong knowledge of IFRS, Nigerian tax regulations, corporate governance, and financial reporting.
* Proven experience within the Energy, Power, Oil & Gas, Manufacturing, or Hospitality sectors.
* Excellent knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or Sage.

* Excellent Communication & Leadership skills
