Upper Primary School Teacher

Job Description

• We are looking for a dedicated, enthusiastic, and experienced Primary School Teacher to join our team.
• The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons, fostering a positive learning environment, and supporting the academic, social, and emotional development of pupils.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the school’s curriculum.
• Assess pupils’ learning and maintain accurate academic records.
• Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
• Manage classroom behavior effectively and encourage positive discipline.
• Prepare lesson notes, schemes of work, and instructional materials.
• Identify and support pupils with varying learning needs.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding pupils’ progress.
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school activities.
• Ensure the welfare and safety of all pupils under your care.
• Carry out other teaching and administrative duties as assigned by the school management.

Requirements

• Minimum of an NCE, B.Ed., B.Sc. (Ed.), or equivalent qualification in Education or a related field.
• At least 1 year of teaching experience in a primary school.
• Strong knowledge of the Nigerian curriculum.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• Proficiency in English (spoken and written).
• Passion for teaching and child development.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Basic computer literacy is an added advantage.
