Sous Chef

We are looking for an experienced and skilled Sous Chef to support the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations and ensuring consistent food quality and service standards.

Responsibilities

* Assist the Head Chef with daily kitchen operations and service.
* Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff during shifts.
* Prepare and cook dishes to the required quality and presentation standards.
* Ensure food quality, hygiene, and safety standards are consistently maintained.
* Monitor food preparation, portion control, and minimize wastage.
* Assist with stock control, inventory checks, and kitchen ordering.
* Train and guide junior kitchen staff where required.
* Ensure the kitchen is clean, organized, and ready for service.
* Step in to oversee the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef.

Requirements

* HND/BSc or relevant culinary qualification.
* 3–5 years of experience in a professional kitchen, with previous Sous Chef or senior kitchen experience.
* Strong knowledge of food preparation, kitchen operations, and food safety.
* Good leadership and team management skills.
* Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong attention to detail and consistency.
* Willingness to work weekends, public holidays, and flexible shifts when required.
