- The Blow Moulding Machine Technician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and optimal performance of blow moulding machines and related production equipment.
- The ideal candidate must possess strong technical knowledge and hands-on experience in maintaining industrial blow moulding machines while ensuring maximum machine uptime and production efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on blow moulding machines.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical faults.
- Perform machine setup, changeovers, and routine servicing.
- Ensure machines operate efficiently with minimal downtime.
- Monitor machine performance and recommend improvements to enhance productivity.
- Replace worn or damaged machine components promptly.
- Maintain maintenance records, service reports, and spare parts usage.
- Collaborate with production personnel to ensure smooth manufacturing operations.
- Observe all safety procedures and company maintenance standards.
- Assist in the installation and commissioning of new blow moulding equipment.
Requirements
- HND, BSC, Trade Test Certificate, or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field.
- NYSC or discharge certificate
- Minimum of 3 years' hands-on experience maintaining blow moulding machines in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of blow moulding machine operations and maintenance.
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical systems.
- Ability to interpret machine manuals and technical drawings.
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure.
