Business Development Officer

We are seeking a driven and results-oriented Business Development Officer to support the growth of the client company by identifying new business opportunities, expanding client acquisition channels, and strengthening partnerships.
The ideal candidate will play a key role in increasing student enrollment, promoting our programs, and building long-term relationships with clients, schools, and corporate partners.
Key Responsibilities
Business Growth & Lead Generation
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to increase student enrollment and revenue.
- Develop and implement strategies to promote language programs and study abroad services.
- Generate and convert leads through marketing, outreach, and networking activities.
Client & Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective students, parents, and corporate clients.
- Provide guidance on available programs and assist clients through the enrollment process.
- Maintain excellent customer service standards throughout client engagement.
Partnerships & Market Expansion
- Develop partnerships with schools, organizations, and education agents.
- Represent the company at education fairs, seminars, and promotional events.
- Support brand visibility and institutional growth within and outside Port Harcourt.
Sales & Reporting
- Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly enrollment targets.
- Prepare regular reports on sales activities, performance, and market feedback.
- Maintain accurate records of leads and conversions using CRM tools.
Market Research
- Monitor trends in education, study abroad opportunities, and competitor activities.
- Provide insights and recommendations to improve marketing and sales strategies.
Requirements
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Education, or related field.
Experience
- Minimum of 2–4 years experience in business development, sales, or marketing.
- Experience in education, training, or consultancy services is an added advantage.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to generate leads and close sales.
- Target-driven with a proactive and self-motivated attitude.
- Strong organizational and reporting skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
