IELTS Customer Service Officer

Role purpose

• As an IELTS Customer Service Officer within the IELTS Customer Care team at IDP Education Nigeria LTD, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless support and guidance to IELTS test candidates.
• Your efforts will directly enhance candidate satisfaction by providing professional, accurate, and empathetic assistance throughout the test registration and enquiry process.
• You will act as a primary point of contact for candidates, partners, and stakeholders, managing a wide range of inquiries related to IELTS testing services.
• Your role requires proactive problem-solving skills, a thorough understanding of IELTS processes, and an ability to work collaboratively within a dynamic team environment.

Key Accountabilities

• Handle inbound and outbound communications from IELTS test candidates promptly and professionally, providing clear and accurate information on registration, test dates, procedures, and policies.
• Process candidate enquiries through various channels including phone, email, and online chat, ensuring high service quality and adherence to data privacy regulations.
• Support the coordination of test bookings and modifications while maintaining up-to-date records in the IELTS administration systems.
• Collaborate with regional teams and stakeholders to resolve complex candidate issues and escalate where necessary to ensure timely resolutions.
• Contribute to continuous improvements in customer service practices by providing feedback on common candidate concerns and process bottlenecks.
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of IELTS products, updates, and service standards to serve as a trusted resource for candidates and colleagues.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant organisational policies, industry standards, and local regulations to uphold the integrity and security of IELTS testing services.
• Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge related to customer service and IELTS operations.

Required Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in any related field.
• Demonstrated experience in customer service roles preferably within education, testing, or related fields, showcasing the ability to manage diverse customer needs effectively.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to convey information clearly and diplomatically to varied audiences.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, capable of managing multiple tasks and maintaining accurate records.
• Proficient computer skills, including experience with customer relationship management (CRM) systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multicultural team and adapt to changing environments and procedures.
• Problem-solving aptitude with a proactive attitude towards resolving customer challenges while maintaining professionalism.
• An understanding of the IELTS examination format and international education systems is desirable but not essential; comprehensive training will be provided.
• A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and respecting the privacy of candidates and partners at all times.
