Inventory Officer

Job Description

• Jodazen Integrated Services (JIS HR) is recruiting on behalf of its client in the manufacturing industry for an experienced and detail-oriented Inventory Officer with strong shipping and commercial experience.
• The successful candidate will oversee inventory control, stock reconciliation, shipping documentation, and commercial inventory transactions to ensure accurate stock records and efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and control inventory levels, ensuring accurate recording of stock movements.
• Conduct regular physical stock counts and reconcile inventory records with system balances.
• Coordinate inventory receipts, dispatches, transfers, and returns.
• Manage shipping documentation, including delivery notes, invoices, packing lists, and other relevant commercial documents.
• Liaise with shipping agents, suppliers, logistics providers, warehouse personnel, and commercial teams.
• Monitor incoming shipments and ensure timely receipt and proper documentation of goods.
• Investigate inventory discrepancies, stock losses, and variances, and recommend corrective actions.
• Prepare inventory, stock valuation, and reconciliation reports for management.
• Ensure compliance with inventory control procedures, commercial policies, and relevant regulatory requirements.
• Support stock forecasting, inventory planning, and cost-control initiatives.

Requirements

• B.Sc./HND in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.
• Must be a Chartered Accountant (ACA/ICAN) or hold an equivalent recognized professional accounting qualification.
• Minimum of 3–5 years’ relevant experience in inventory management, with strong shipping and commercial experience.
• Manufacturing industry experience is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of inventory reconciliation, stock valuation, and commercial documentation.
• Experience handling shipping records, goods receipts, dispatches, and supplier documentation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and relevant inventory/accounting software.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail, integrity, and the ability to work under pressure.

Salary
N300,000 monthly, and above (based on experience).
