KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ability to prepare effective lesson plans, assessments, schemes of work and teaching resources.
- Passion for teaching and the ability to inspire students to achieve academic excellence.
- Proficiency in the use of digital teaching tools and technology is an added advantage.
- Assess students' learning and provide constructive feedback.
- Prepare students effectively for internal and external examinations.
- Maintain accurate records Of students' academic progress.
- Participate in departmental meetings, school activities and professional development programmes.
- Promote discipline, good character and a positive learning environment.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents and school management.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
- B.Sc./B.Ed. in Geography or Geography Education from a recognised institution.
- TRCN Certification is mandatory.
- Minimum of 3 years post-NYSC teaching experience.
- Proven experience teaching Geography at the secondary/high school level.
- Good knowledge of the Nigerian and/or international curriculum, including IGCSE, will be an added advantage.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
