Summary
- The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, presentation, and comfort throughout the hotel.
- The role involves cleaning and preparing guest rooms, bathrooms, public areas, and other assigned spaces while ensuring guests receive a clean, safe, and pleasant environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and prepare guest rooms, bathrooms, corridors, and other assigned areas to hotel standards.
- Make beds, change bed linens, replace towels, and replenish toiletries and room supplies.
- Dust, sweep, mop, vacuum, and sanitize surfaces and floors.
- Clean windows, mirrors, furniture, fixtures, and other room amenities as required.
- Inspect rooms after cleaning to ensure they are properly arranged and free from defects or missing items.
- Report damaged furniture, faulty equipment, maintenance issues, or missing items to the supervisor.
- Handle cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and appropriately.
- Collect and dispose of waste according to hotel procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of housekeeping equipment and storage areas.
- Respect guests' privacy and hotel policies regarding guest rooms and personal belongings.
- Immediately report lost and found items in accordance with hotel procedures.
- Respond politely and professionally to reasonable guest requests related to housekeeping.
- Assist with deep-cleaning activities and periodic maintenance of rooms and public areas.
- Maintain adequate supplies of cleaning materials, toiletries, linens, and other housekeeping items.
- Work closely with the front desk and maintenance departments to ensure rooms are ready for guests.
- Follow all hotel health, safety, hygiene, and security procedures.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Housekeeping Supervisor or Hotel Manager.
Requirements
- Interested candidates should possess an OND qualification with 1 year experience.
