Location: Abuja, Nigeria Sector: Hospitality Employment Type: Full-time Experience: 6–8 years Salary: ₦180,000 – ₦250,000 per month Qualification: Accounting / Finance Professional Qualification: Chartered Accountant (ACA or equivalent) is an advantage About the Role We are seeking a highly competent and detail-oriented Accountant to manage the financial operations of a bar, restaurant, or lounge. The ideal candidate should have 6–8 years of relevant accounting experience, with proven experience in the hospitality industry, particularly in a bar, restaurant, lounge, or similar business. Key Responsibilities Manage day-to-day accounting and financial transactions. Monitor and reconcile daily sales and revenue. Reconcile cash, POS, transfers, and other payment channels. Maintain accurate records of income, expenses, invoices, payments, and receipts. Prepare financial statements and management reports. Monitor cash flow, expenditure, budgets, and business performance. Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable. Monitor food, beverage, and operational costs. Support inventory and stock-control processes. Identify financial discrepancies, leakages, and control weaknesses. Ensure tax and statutory compliance. Support payroll and financial administration. Assist with audits and financial reviews. Analyse financial data and provide management with useful insights. Work closely with management and operations to improve cost control and profitability. Requirements 6–8 years of relevant accounting experience. Proven experience working in a bar, restaurant, lounge, or similar hospitality business is required. Degree/HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Chartered Accountant (ACA or equivalent) is an advantage. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, budgeting, and taxation. Experience with accounting software and Microsoft Excel. Strong numerical and analytical skills. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Strong integrity and ability to handle confidential financial information. Good communication and problem-solving skills.
