Corporate Finance Specialist

About the Role
- seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the bank's financial management, regulatory compliance, and financial planning functions.
- The successful candidate will play a key role in driving financial performance, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting the bank's growth strategy.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership for the bank's finance and accounting functions.
- Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
- Oversee budgeting, financial planning, forecasting, and cash flow management.
- Prepare and present accurate financial reports to executive management and the Board.
- Ensure compliance with Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), NDIC, and other regulatory requirements.
- Monitor financial performance and recommend strategies for improved profitability.
- Manage statutory audits, tax compliance, and external financial reporting.
- Establish and strengthen internal financial controls and risk management processes.
- Supervise and develop the finance team.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Professional qualification such as ICAN, ACCA, ACA, or equivalent is required.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in a senior finance role, preferably within a Microfinance Bank or financial institution.
- Strong knowledge of banking regulations, financial reporting standards, and risk management.
- Excellent leadership, analytical, and strategic planning skills.
- High level of integrity and professionalism.
