Internal Auditor

Job Summary
- We are seeking to recruit a highly motivated and experienced Internal Auditor to strengthen our internal control systems, safeguard company assets, ensure compliance, and improve operational efficiency across our branches and departments.
- The ideal candidate should have strong experience in inventory and operational auditing, with the ability to identify stock leakages, procurement irregularities, financial discrepancies, and control weaknesses.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular audits of branches, warehouse, and head office operations.
- Perform cash, bank, sales, and POS reconciliation audits.
- Verify POS transactions and bank lodgements.
- Review inventory processes and investigate stock variances.
- Conduct surprise cash and stock counts.
- Audit procurement and supplier payment processes.
- Review compliance with company policies, SOPs, and regulatory requirements.
- Verify the existence and condition of company assets.
- Investigate suspected fraud, theft, abuse, and operational irregularities.
- Evaluate internal controls and recommend improvements.
- Prepare audit reports and present findings to Management.
- Follow up on the implementation of audit recommendations.
- Identify and report operational and financial risks.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- 3–7 years' experience in Internal Audit, External Audit, Risk Management, or Internal Control.
- Professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA, or equivalent is an added advantage.
- Experience in retail, FMCG, pharmacy, healthcare, supermarket, warehouse, or other multi-branch operations is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting/business software.
- Strong analytical, numerical, investigative, and report-writing skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Willingness to travel regularly to company branches.
Salary
N450,000 - N650,000 / month.
