IT Project Manager (Hybrid)

Summary

• As part of our continued growth, we are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to join our team.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering technology projects from initiation through to completion, ensuring that projects are delivered within agreed scope, timelines, quality standards, and budget.
• The role requires a strong client-facing professional who can effectively coordinate cross-functional teams, manage stakeholders, identify and mitigate project risks, and ensure successful project delivery and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end IT project delivery, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, budget, and quality standards.
• Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, milestones, and success criteria with relevant stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, resource plans, and delivery roadmaps.
• Lead cross-functional project teams, coordinating resources, responsibilities, dependencies, and priorities.
• Establish effective project communication and stakeholder-management plans to ensure alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
• Facilitate project meetings, document decisions and action points, and ensure timely follow-up and closure.
• Prepare project presentations, status reports, dashboards, and steering committee updates, highlighting progress, risks, issues, and key milestones.
• Ensure project deliverables remain aligned with client requirements and evolving business needs.
• Identify, assess, and proactively manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and opportunities, escalating critical matters as required.
• Manage project scope, schedule, resource, and cost changes through appropriate change-control processes.
• Monitor project performance using relevant tools, methodologies, KPIs, and quality assurance processes.
• Coordinate UAT, implementation, transition, handover, and the development of supporting documentation, including user manuals and training materials.
• Obtain client acceptance and sign-off for project deliverables and ensure successful project closure.
• Manage client relationships and proactively address concerns to maintain customer satisfaction.
• Identify potential opportunities with existing clients and provide input into business development and account-growth initiatives.
• Conduct post-project reviews, document lessons learned, and recommend improvements for future projects.
• Ensure project documentation, governance records, and deliverables are complete, accurate, and maintained in line with organisational standards.
• Ensure compliance with applicable project management, information security, quality, and organisational policies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Project Management, Computer Science, IT, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Professional Project Management certification required; PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of 4 years’ proven experience in IT Project Management, preferably in technology, consulting, systems integration, or digital transformation.
• Proven experience managing IT projects from initiation through implementation, transition, and closure.
• Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and deliver projects of varying size and complexity.
• Strong knowledge and practical application of project management methodologies, governance, and best practices.
• Experience managing project scope, timelines, budgets, resources, risks, issues, dependencies, and change requests.
• Proven client-facing and stakeholder-management experience.
• Experience with project management tools, requirements gathering, UAT, implementation, client acceptance, and project handover.
• Experience in technology implementation, enterprise applications, data, infrastructure, or digital transformation is an advantage.
