Chinese Translator

Location: Abuja, Nigeria Employment Type: Full-Time Job Summary We are seeking a fluent Chinese Translator to facilitate effective communication between Chinese and English-speaking employees, management, technical teams, clients, and other stakeholders. The successful candidate will provide accurate interpretation and written translation during meetings, site activities, project operations, and daily business activities. Key Responsibilities Translate and interpret between Chinese and English accurately and effectively. Provide interpretation during meetings, interviews, training, and project discussions. Translate documents, reports, emails, contracts, manuals, and other business materials. Assist Chinese management and technical teams in communicating with Nigerian employees and stakeholders. Provide interpretation during site visits and project activities. Ensure translations maintain the correct meaning, context, and technical terminology. Assist with communication between departments and help resolve language barriers. Maintain strict confidentiality of company and project information. Perform other translation and administrative duties as assigned. Requirements Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Chinese Language, Linguistics, Translation, International Relations, or a related field. Fluency in both Chinese (Mandarin) and English, spoken and written. HSK certification is an added advantage. Previous experience as a Chinese Translator/Interpreter is preferred. Experience working with Chinese companies, construction, engineering, mining, or infrastructure projects is an advantage. Good understanding of Chinese and Nigerian business culture. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to translate accurately under pressure. Willingness to travel to project sites when required.
