The Opportunity

YellowDoor Hotels is a premium boutique hotel in Abuja, Nigeria, serving business executives and leisure travellers. We're looking for a General Manager to lead the property end-to-end - from operations and people to guest experience and profitability. This is a high-ownership role for a hospitality leader who thrives on building excellent teams, driving results, and setting standards others aspire to.

Your Mission

• Own full P&L responsibility and drive revenue, cost control, and profitability across all departments
• Build, coach, and retain a high-performing middle management team with clear accountability frameworks
• Design, document, and implement standardised operating procedures across all hotel functions
• Establish world-class KPIs and reporting cadences for operational and financial performance
• Cultivate deep relationships with key corporate and leisure clients to drive repeat business
• Oversee The Living Room restaurant and bar - ensuring quality, profitability, and brand alignment
• Maintain exceptional facility standards through proactive maintenance and compliance
• Define and develop a talent pipeline that supports the hotel's long-term growth
• Champion a culture of high standards, warmth, accountability, and genuine guest-centricity

The Purpose of This Role

To establish YellowDoor Hotels as the benchmark boutique property in Abuja - by systemising operations, building a high-performance culture, delivering consistent profitability, and ensuring every guest interaction reflects world-class standards. This is a foundational leadership role that defines how the hotel runs and grows.

What Success Looks Like

Within 12 months: middle management is deeply engaged and performing independently; all core operations are standardised, documented, and tracked against world-class KPIs; the hotel is profitable with strong occupancy and F&B revenue; client relationships are deep and retention is high; facility standards are exceptional and proactive; a defined talent pipeline is in place; and the culture visibly reflects hard work, warmth, and uncompromising guest-centricity.
