Customer Service Officer

About the role
- You will contribute to the smooth running of branch operations and to the branch's profitability, while making sure every client who walks through our doors is attended to promptly, professionally and with warmth.
What you will do
- Client service — Represent the institution well at all times, attending to clients in a timely and professional manner. Advise clients on the products best suited to their needs, and produce client ID cards.
- Credit and account processing — Input credit applications, updates and documentation on T24. Prepare and print loan and legal documents, input CSR forms, and produce the daily reports used by the operational teams. Ensure all accounts are funded as directed by the Credit Committee.
- Till and cash management — Operate and keep the till box strictly in line with laid-down procedures, and disburse loans accurately.
- Records and branch administration — Maintain a discreet archiving process for the branch's legal documents. Manage the photo database of clients, signatures and guarantors. Carry out regular inventories of branch assets and stock, identifying repair or replacement needs and reporting them promptly.
- Plus any other duties assigned by your supervisor or line management.
What we are looking for
- Candidates should possess a B.Sc Degree with 1 year experience.
- Experience in data/computer input, preferably in a banking or financial services environment
- Experience managing a till box, and in logistics or stock management
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel
- Good knowledge of stock management, mailing and archiving
- Fluent written and spoken English
- Accuracy and close attention to detail
- Strong self-management and time-management
- Ability to work under pressure and as part of a team
- Disciplined, dynamic, and full of initiative
- Friendly, polite, and absolutely discreet with confidential information.
