Job Description

We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Hotel Waiter / Waitress to join our team in the hotel and hospitality industry.
The ideal candidate for this position will have a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a 5 - star hotel environment, along with the necessary educational qualifications.
The Hotel Waiter / Waitress will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to guests in the dining areas, ensuring their satisfaction and enhancing their overall dining experience.

Responsibilities

Greet guests warmly and create a welcoming atmosphere in the dining areas.
Escort guests to their tables, provide menus, and assist in seating arrangements.
Take accurate food and beverage orders from guests and ensure their timely delivery.
Make recommendations from the menu and provide information about any specials or promotions.
Ensure proper table setup, including clean linens, cutlery, glassware, and table decorations.
Serve food and beverages to guests, following established service standards and etiquette.
Monitor guest satisfaction and promptly address any concerns or issues.
Maintain a clean and organized dining area, including clearing tables and resetting them for the next guests.
Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth coordination and timely service.
Follow all health, safety, and hygiene protocols to maintain a safe and clean dining environment.
Handle guest payments, process transactions accurately, and provide receipts when necessary.
Assist in other areas of the hotel, such as banquets or room service, as needed.

Requirements

A minimum of 2 years of experience as a waiter / waitress within a 5 - star hotel or luxury hospitality environment.
Relevant educational qualifications in Hotel Management / Hospitality, or a related field.
Strong knowledge of food and beverage service procedures, including proper table setup, order taking, and serving techniques.
Familiarity with various cuisines, menu items, and beverage offerings.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests and colleagues.
Exceptional customer service skills, with a focus on anticipating and fulfilling guest needs.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Knowledge of POS (Point of Sale) systems and experience handling cash transactions.
Flexibility to work in shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
