Job Description

Interpret prescription orders accurately.
Dispense medications in the correct dosage and form.
Label medications with appropriate instructions and warnings.
Verify prescription validity and patient information.
Provide clear instructions on medication use, dosage, and administration.
Offer guidance on potential side effects and adverse reactions.
Discuss drug interactions and precautions.
Address patient questions and concerns about medications.
Promote medication adherence and compliance.
Review patient medication profiles for accuracy and completeness.
Monitor patient responses to medication therapy.
Ensure proper storage and handling of medications.
Conduct medication reconciliation to prevent errors.
Implement strategies to reduce medication errors and adverse events.
Participate in medication safety initiatives and quality improvement efforts
Manage pharmacy inventory and procurement processes.
Maintain accurate records of prescription dispensing and patient information.
Adhere to pharmacy regulations, laws, and standards of practice.
Ensure compliance with medication storage, handling, and disposal requirements.

Qualifications

A minimum of first degree in pharmacy
2-3years experience working in a pharmacy
