Job Summary

The Team Lead – Recycling Unit will supervise daily recycling operations involving phones, laptops, and USB boards.
The role involves coordinating dismantling processes, ensuring proper material segregation, maintaining safety compliance, and leading a small operations team to achieve productivity and environmental targets.
This position is ideal for candidates with 0–2 years of experience who demonstrate leadership potential, technical interest in electronics, and strong organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise daily recycling activities for phones, laptops, and USB boards.
Ensure proper dismantling, segregation, and processing of electronic components.
Monitor material recovery rates and minimize waste.
Enforce safety standards and ensure use of appropriate PPE.
Oversee safe handling and disposal of hazardous materials (e.g., batteries, circuit boards).
Maintain accurate inventory and recycling documentation.
Ensure proper data destruction procedures for recycled devices.
Train and guide recycling staff on operational procedures.
Monitor team performance and ensure productivity targets are met.
Prepare daily and weekly operational reports for management.
Maintain clean and organized workstations.
Ensure compliance with environmental and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

Minimum of OND, HND, or B.Sc. in Engineering, Environmental Science, Physical Sciences, or related field.
0–2 years experience in recycling, technical operations, manufacturing, or electronics (NYSC experience acceptable).
Basic understanding of electronic components is an advantage.
