Job Summary

We are seeking a competent and detail-oriented Civil/Structural Engineer to join our team at HTSF Global Nigeria LTD.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, supervision, execution, inspection, and technical coordination of civil and structural works across our projects.
The ideal candidate should be comfortable working both on-site and in the office, with strong knowledge of structural design, construction methods, engineering drawings, materials, and project execution.

Key Responsibilities

Design, analyze, and review structural components for building and civil engineering projects.
Prepare and review structural drawings, calculations, specifications, and technical reports.
Supervise construction activities to ensure work is executed according to approved drawings, specifications, and engineering standards.
Conduct regular site inspections and identify structural or construction issues requiring corrective action.
Monitor foundations, reinforcement, formwork, concrete works, steel structures, and other structural elements.
Interpret architectural, structural, and civil engineering drawings.
Carry out measurements, material assessments, and technical evaluations as required.
Monitor the quality of materials and workmanship on-site.
Identify potential construction risks and recommend practical engineering solutions.
Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, engineering standards, health and safety requirements, and project specifications.
Prepare progress reports, site inspection reports, and other project documentation.
Assist with project planning, scheduling, cost control, and resource allocation.
Conduct structural assessments and recommend repairs, reinforcement, or modifications where required.
Ensure projects are delivered safely, within approved specifications, timelines, and budgets.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
3 – 5 years of relevant experience in civil/structural engineering, construction, or site supervision.
Strong knowledge of structural analysis, construction methods, and building materials.
Ability to read, interpret, and work with engineering and architectural drawings.
Proficiency in AutoCAD is required.
Knowledge of structural design software such as STAAD.Pro, ETABS, SAP2000, or similar is an advantage.
Practical experience with construction/site supervision is highly desirable.
Good understanding of concrete, reinforcement, foundations, steel structures, and other structural works.
Excellent communication,coordination, problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned projects.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.
Willingness to work on construction sites and travel to project locations when required.

Professional Certification:

Membership of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) or other relevant professional bodies is also desirable but not compulsory.
