Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and well-organized professional to join the Risk function as a Zonal Credit Risk Manager.
The role involves overseeing field collections, assessing risks, identifying fraud, and ensuring credit processes align with customer expectations.
You will play a key role in improving payment performance, enhancing customer satisfaction, and strengthening risk management practices.

Key Responsibilities

Support the Credit Manager in developing and enhancing credit processes and methodologies.
Recommend process and policy improvements to reduce operational risks.
Prepare reports and presentations, outlining findings and making recommendations.
Assist in implementing audit recommendations and conducting follow-up checks.
Conduct periodic spot checks on processes, identifying risks and suggesting corrective measures.
Investigate fraud cases, including data gathering and claimant interviews, and recommend resolutions.
Identify and classify potential default risks through data analysis and client interactions.
Prepare and submit field reports, ensuring accurate data collation and documentation.
Flag potential risks early and ensure timely escalation.

Candidate Profile

Minimum of 4 years experience in Credit Control, Compliance, or Risk Management.
Strong data collection and analysis skills.
Proven experience in fraud detection and investigation.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Advanced level).
Strong problem-solving abilities.
Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
Previous experience in microfinance institutions or banks preferred.
Multilingual skills (English & Igbo/Ibibio/Efik/Hausa) are an advantage.
Familiarity with the territory is desirable.
