Job description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Management: Provide strategic direction and leadership to a school ensuring they operate effectively and achieve their educational goal.
  • Academic Excellence: Foster a culture of academic excellence curriculum development and instructional quality across the school.
  • Staff Management: Recruit train and supervise school academic and administrative staff promoting professional growth and performance excellence.
  • Educational Policies: Develop and implement policies and procedures that align with local regulations and educational standards ensuring compliance and quality.
  • Budgeting and Resource Allocation: Oversee budgeting processes allocate resources effectively and ensure financial sustainability and accountability across the school.
  • School Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives analyze data and implement evidencebased strategies to enhance student outcomes.
  • Safety and Welfare: Ensure the safety wellbeing and welfare of students and staff through appropriate policies procedures and emergency response plans.
  • External Partnerships: Collaborate with external organizations educational institutions and government entities to establish beneficial partnerships and enhance educational opportunities.
  • Reporting and Evaluation: Prepare regular reports on school performance present findings to stakeholders and implement evaluation mechanisms to monitor progress and identify areas for improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a related field
  • A Master’s Degree would be an advantage
  • Extensive experience in educational leadership including previous roles as a head of school director of studies or sectional leader
  • Indepth knowledge of educational policies regulations and best practices
  • Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire diverse teams
  • Excellent communication interpersonal and problemsolving abilities
  • Demonstrated commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Familiarity with technology integration and innovative educational approaches
  • Financial acumen and experience in budgeting and resource management.

Essentials: The right candidate must be domiciled in Lagos and familiar with the educational landscape of Lagos.
