Job Description
- The Web Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining responsive, secure, and high-performing websites and web applications.
- The successful candidate will work closely with designers, project managers, and other developers to create exceptional digital experiences that support the company's business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain company websites and web applications.
- Build responsive and user-friendly interfaces compatible with multiple devices and browsers.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
- Integrate websites with databases, APIs, and third-party services.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve website issues promptly.
- Optimize website speed, performance, and security.
- Collaborate with UI/UX designers to implement visually appealing designs.
- Perform regular updates, backups, and maintenance of web platforms.
- Stay updated with emerging web technologies and recommend improvements.
- Ensure compliance with web accessibility, security, and industry best practices.
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Relevant professional certifications in web development will be an added advantage.
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in web development or a related role.
- Demonstrated portfolio of completed web development projects.
- Experience working in an IT solutions or technology-driven environment is an advantage.
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and responsive web design.
- Experience with front-end frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
- Knowledge of back-end technologies such as PHP, Node.js, or Python.
- Experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, or other relational databases.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and version control tools such as Git.
- Understanding of website security and performance optimization.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
